ASQA’s FVRA Tool
The Australian Skills and Quality Authority (ASQA) announced:
“To ensure applicants are fully financially prepared to operate a sustainable training business and help them understand the financial requirements for registration, applicants will be required to complete a new financial viability risk assessment. Applicants must give ASQA a detailed business plan and a range of financial information and underlying assumptions including information on projections, funding sources, assets and loan arrangements, staff and student numbers.”
The Financial Viability Risk Assessment Tool requires a full:
• Profit and Loss
• Balance Sheet
• Cashflow
• Student number projections
Regardless of how you choose to complete the FVRA it must be certified by a qualified accountant.
A case study
Having managed the initial registration of Online Education as an RTO in 2018 through our subsidiary business, Your RTO Specialists, they called upon our services again in 2019 to prepare a Financial Viability Risk Assessment Tool to accompany an application to add to their scope of registration.
